So I am playing with the new Fury of the First Order expansions and have some questions:
1) My Tie/wi Whisper Modified Interceptor had one focus token and is using Enhanced Jamming Suite. It was facing 2 BTA-NR2 Ywings. Each Ywing had a jam token (one from my Whisper and the other from another ship).
The Whisper pilot card was Whirlwind which reads: Before you engage, you may remove any number of jam tokens, then you may gain 1 focus token for each enemy ship that has you in its forward arc.
To me the card doesn't seem clear about whether it means remove tokens from self or whether it means remove from enemy ships.
Could I remove the jam tokens from the Ywings to gain 2 more focus tokens to have a total of 3 focus tokens heading into engagement?
2) The TIE Whisper has a bullseye firing arc rolling 3 attack die. It also has a turret firing arc rolling 2 attack die. The default pilot card also has Heavy Weapon Turret where the missile upgrade must be treated as turret firing arc and that the turret rotation is limited to front and back. I flew this setup using proton rockets which is range 1 attack rolling 5 attack dice.
Is the turret attack separate from the missile attack or are they one and the same?
I had a situation where I wanted to take a shot on an opponent. I had no primary attack because it wasn't in the Whisper bullseye arc. Then I wanted to use prockets, but the card indicates it must be a bullseye are, which again I didn't have on my opponent. So that option was gone. Which left me with the turret attack option.
There is no forward triangular arc on the base template for the Whisper. There are also no markings to indicate side or rear arcs either. So I couldn't determine whether I had arc to perform a base turret attack on my opponent.
Is this an intentional design to limit the capability of the Whisper Interceptor and reward precision piloting? If so, this doesn't explain the lack of performing a base turret attack. Am I right in assuming that the above setup gives the ship 3 attack options? If so, this doesn't explain the lack of a backward arc given the Heavy Weapon Turret setup.
Could this be a misprinted cardboard template?
Thanks for any help.
