It's working for me, so I'm not sure what your problem is. I went to the TIE Reaper page and scrolled down to the nav at the bottom (Viewing Full Site) and clicked on the Play Formats icon and it took me to the Play Formats page.
Try changing the template type from "Infoicon" to "Image, video, or gallery". Infoicons have the following "feature": On mobile web, these templates render only the icon, with no corresponding text nor any other content beyond the image.
As the blog says, "We will be releasing this change over the course of a few weeks" so I don't think you need to to anything. It will happen when it happens. Then Discussions should resemble the rest of the wiki.
I have added your #1 and #2 points to the feedback repository that Fandom is gathering.
For #3, I think you will be pleased that they just announced this weekend that Discussions will soon be styled just like the rest of the wiki. :)
You're still using Oasis. You have to choose Fandom Desktop in your preferences.
I restored your Favicon. You can set this in the new Theme Designer, along with lots of other stuff. You should check it out and design your light theme for those viewers who prefer light to dark. If you see a warning message about a possible security problem, just pick a different page (by entering its name in the URL at the top of Theme Designer). Let me know if you'd like help with theming.
The global nav menu on the left is not customizable, but just about everything else is. Logged-out users will see the yellow bar. Logged-in users will see either a light gray or a dusky purple depending on their light/dark theme preferences. The deep purple seems to me to fit pretty well with the deep space theme. :)
Personally, I like the new skin. It has light/dark modes, expandable width, you can collapse the right rail to get even more width, and the local nav is always available, even in the editor. The Theme Designer is much better than the old one, and it will support full-size backgrounds in a future update.
What don't you like about it? Perhaps we can fix some things with CSS.
This blog post explains it.

TL;DR only anonymous users see the yellow global nav bar.
Hopefully you have switched to the Fandom Desktop skin in your preferences and tried it out and styled the wiki to your liking. Be aware that the Oasis skin is going away soon. See this blog post for the dates: https://community.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:MisterWoodhouse/Retirement_of_legacy_designs
This is a known bug and hopefully will be fixed soon.
Added your feedback as well. Thanks! (I like the idea of grouping social edits together, +1 )
Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. I have summarized it and added it to the tracking document being used for UCP feedback, and I included a link so they can read it in your own words.
Those seem like reasonable rules to me. Be aware that you can lock Discussion threads to prevent any further discussion as one way of getting the message across. You can also turn off comments on a wiki article if things are getting out of hand there. That and a warning should be sufficient in 99% of the cases (knock on wood).
I tried to post as an anon and did indeed get an error message that says "Sorry, something went wrong." I will investigate.
No worries, at least the Main Page is mostly functional now. It was the Products thing that caused it.
I fixed up the Main Page as best I could. See the comments I left in the page. The RecentChanges feed looks bad because it's currently including the tabs and the abbreviations list, but there is a ticket in to fix that.
Please, if you want to get my attention, you have to @Moviesign or you might as well be shouting into the void. Or use my Message Wall. I just happened to see this on my weekly check.
The search-suggestion issue has been fixed. It should work both inside and outside of Discussions.
Some good news: Keyboard shortcuts are back. You can type "e" to edit a page and "gs" to search the wiki (those are the ones I use constantly, there are others).
